About 316 years ago in Salem, Massachusetts there were the Witch Trials, held by the townspeople of Salem and neighboring cities to purge their world of witches. Many people were accused and therefore died pretty gruesome deaths at the hands of the townspeople. Five such convicted families were the Andrews, the Bishops, the Carrolls, the Thomas', and the Parkers.

On the eve of their families' hangings, this close-knit band of families broke from jail and fled the country, going to the only place they could think of where they could be truly safe. Europe. The five families stuck together for over 300 years, not straying far from each other. Finally in 1992 the five families agreed that it was safe enough to move back the the United States. They lived first in the lower areas, then moved back to Massachusetts in 2002.

But the families of four of the most powerful and dedicated witch hunters have long since remained in that same area, carrying on the tradition of witch hunting. When the witch children enrolled in Prestone Academy, they met the children of the hunters who happened to be hunters themselves. They figured out what the new kids were, and all hell broke loose. Under the eyes and ears of the public, of course, but it was still there.

Now the hunters have revived an age-old war between witches and hunters and they intend to finish the job. But the witches, determined not to be pushed out of their homes again reluctantly fight back. So, which side is right for you? Magic, or murder?
